Hi there wanted to reach out to Ryk directly but couldn't find a way to do so so posting here.
I saw Ryk's latest post about not putting books in KU for at least the first month.
One suggestion would be to create a Patreon instead that releases the books for a couple weeks before they go live on KU and then to make them no longer available through Patreon once they go live in KU. I got this idea from Glynn Stewart who maintains a Patreon here removed link (and only charges when a new book is released not every month although Ryk could certainly go that route as well)
I believe this scheme helps Ryk get the best of both worlds as this method ensures the KU exclusivity that's required but also gives loyal fans a way to support while also avoiding some of the backlash that could come from a book not being in KU (Ice World by BV Larson got review-bombed for not being in KU initially).
