Is it now time to start counting the days until the front page counter starts? Have my kindle and tablets all charged up.
I was hoping for a late Xmas / new years
Surprise from Ryk 🙂

going to be Mid February now https://www.frontierssaga.com/forums/topic/episode-13-discussion-and-speculation/page/2/#post-4106
13, 14, then 15... Final episode of this cycle. Man, it is going to be epic!
I've noticed the word count going up, up, up. Ryk is trying to stuff more into each book. As a reader I appreciate it, but man, I wish I could finish the story tonight!
Hey Ryk, since you raised the single copy price by a buck (33%), have sales dropped off any? Just idle curiosity, so don't reply if it takes away from writing...
I am not sure I would have ever even noticed the price change, I always buy them the second I get the email saying the book is available. The price seems low for the quality of work even now.
I have started buying the audiobooks as well for something to listen to as I run.
I have been coming back here every few days just to look for an update!! I am so Excited!!! AS to the price issue, i did not know the effect Kindle Unlimited had on authors, and the main reason i got it was several of my favorite new authors were on it. I had already bought the first 9 before joining, so now i have cancelled my membership and bought those few!!! need to start over reading again, just to pass the time till i get to the next book! in hope sof not sounding like a whiny child in the back seat: Is it done yet? 🙂
Although I'm sure the authors you read appreciate your support, I don't think its necessary. As a reader, if Kindle Unlimited works for you, that is fine. If I had time to read a lot, I would probably use KU as well. Each author makes a choice, and Amazon is not forcing anyone to remain in KU. It is unfortunate the Amazon feels that they have to try and squash their competition through exclusivity, especially since their customer interface is head and shoulders above the rest.
The main reasons that I pulled out of Select/KU are the first, Amazon's implentation is poorly designed and unfair. (I am referring specifically toward the fact that authors are paid the same for short works as they are for long works, which is beyond insane.) The other reason is that Select/KU no longer offers enough to make exclusivity an acceptable cost for me. The time has simply come for me to put my eggs in more than one basket.
Ryk
Well once you explained how it works for you i went through my reading list, and its long, but most of those where either free or cheap enough that it would not have been that big a deal, i would rather support authors i like completely, and i haven't really found much more on the KU list, and it seems to be getting less and less interesting. I guess if i was a better person and had a wider range of reading interests it would be worth it for me, but i just dont like romance, period drama, real-crime drama, self-help (and really if its free self help its probably not that worth it) and so on... I like me my sci-fi & fantasy and can spend $1-5 a book if need be, if i have to wait till the next paycheck for that then i can. But back to the real question, is episode 13 done yet! 🙂
Oh and i just saw that you are the "keymaster" under your picture in the forum, tell me there is a gatekeeper around!
Facebook had something about it beingnwith the proof readers or some such. SWEEEETTTT!!!
What's the page on Facebook?
fastest way to find it is to Scroll down to the bottom of this page (or others on this site), tap the Facebook icon, and you will be there 🙂
I own all books on kindle and audio and I'm going to keep buying them I just love the adventure!
The prospect of reading episode 13 and having to wait even more months for the next installment (because I will probably read it all in like three days) has me feeling dejected already. Maybe I should wait a couple years and come back to it so I can read several episodes one after the other. Trying to decide.
We all go through that, Phillip. If we had not already read the first few, that would make sense. Unfortunately, we already are hooked. I may do that on the second round of fifteen books (although I promise to buy them as soon as available, Ryk!).
The pain of waiting for each new installment is equaled by the sweet sweet enjoyment of each new book (and even re-reading the old ones again and again). We all feel the same pain Phillip.
