I don't think he'll be a big bad. He bought into what Tug was selling, and I think he'll stick to it. I suspect he's underground somewhere, either leading/with the resistance, or plotting a way to get away from the Dusahn. I don't think the Dusahn know(yet) that he wasn't on the Avendahl when she went down.
Fair points, I was thinking that if the Dusahn got him, that they might have some new mind warping techniques. Or maybe Navarro will get mad at Scott for leading the rebellion that could lead to the glassing of Takara and Dervano...
But mostly I think that because Navarro beat Scott (well drew really) in the head of the dragon, that it would be cool to pit them against each other... Maybe in a training exercise as part of some future montage toward a big battle, they might do a sim together...
Now that is something I can get behind. It'd be cool if he comes onto the aurora and does a sim against the results Nathan and Cam have sim-ed. I have to imagine he'd lay the smack down. Nothing against Nathan, but without his luck he's not really proven himself to be an amazing commander yet.
I wonder what his role would be if he joined the fleet? Maybe admiral like Dumar?
Admiral would suit him. Scott is the face, but dumar and telles would be the brains of quite the rebellion
Douh! Navarro and Telles! not to discount Scott and Cam!
I just finished reading Resurrection and Rebellion back to back (over 2 days) after a several month absence from the series and all I can say is WOW WOW WOW!!! Ryk, you have really hit your stride as an author and story teller. I loved the way you've dealt with the "Connor Tupulo Identity" and how the cloning process Gen 5 has resulted in Nathan's coming away with some very interesting (and unexpected) new "abilities," like foresight and total recall. I have a sneaking suspicion that's he's going to be needing every advantage possible in the upcoming Rebellion against the Dusahn. Can't wait to see what's in store next for the poor folks of the Pentarus Cluster.
I'm also very curious to see how things continue to develop in the Sol Sector with Admiral Gallardi and his plans for the extinction of the Jung and/or becoming Dictator of the Alliance. There are just so many possibilities and stories left in this universe that it's no wonder the plan is for a total of 60 books in four sections. Keep up the awesome work Ryk!
Just finished Rebellion. My Faith is restored. Really wasn't a fan of the first Rogue Caste book, maybe it was having to start the story all over again.
Episode 4 has pulled me back in again. Loved it.
5 stars Ryk.
PS, you just gotta love the Ghatazhak. Hopefully there's a battalion hidden awAy somewhere awaiting defrosting.
