I've been following The Frontiers Saga since the beginning with Aurora CV-01 and now with only one more episode remaining in Part I (and a break of at least six months until the beginning of Part II) I've been reviewing the various books so far in order to refresh my memory. In the course of that process, I've come across certain details and characters that I personally wouldn't mind learning more about. So, I'm curious about whether any thought had been put into the possibility of a Frontiers Saga Anthology, a collection of short stories that could delve deeper into character histories, specific historical events mentioned in passing but not elaborated on, etc. The Honor Harrington series by David Weber has at least five such anthologies presently, each of them chronicling the side adventures of certain characters, revealing episodes that occurred in their pasts, telling the stories of events referenced in previous books, etc. I believe that such an anthology could only serve to further enrich the universe that Mr. Brown has created in his books, but that is my opinion. As I said, I'm merely curious to know whether any thought had been put into possibly creating one.

Here are possibly ideas for inclusion in such an anthology:
1) Prince Casimir/Redmound Tugwell's time in the Palea Militia with Dumar
2) Naralena's origin story beginning with her childhood on Volon and possibly concluding with her time on Haven before the arrival of the Aurora
3) Nathan Scott's time at the Earth Defense Force Academy
4) The meeting between Senator Dayton Scott and other Earth officials in which the plan to spread disinformation to the Jung about their research into the jump drive was created.
5) The meeting between Eli Scott and Jung operatives were his collusion with the Jung began
6) Jessica Nash's time in Special Operations training
7) Vladimir Kamenetskiy's time before with the Earth ground forces before training to become an engineer
8) Major Prechitt's mandatory service to the Ta'Akar Empire and how he returned to Corinar when his service concluded
9) Josh Hayes' origin story beginning with his childhood, possibly ending with his time on Haven before the arrival of the Aurora, and revealing how Marcus Taggart became his legal guardian and Loki Sheehan became his navigator
10) Loki Sheehan's origin story beginning with his childhood and possibly ending with his time on Haven before the arrival of the Aurora
11) Ideas 9 and 10 told as one story in flashbacks while Josh and Loki perform a cold coast reconnaissance mission in the Super Falcon
12) The fate of the Defender BV-01 and the Valiant BV-02, possibly told from the viewpoint of their crews

I think we can boil all of those down to just 4 tales in 2 episodes. (Or have the entirety of Part 2 look back at those times)

1) Casimir/Tug & Dumar in the Palee Militia with the background of a rising Takaran Empire, ending with the failed assassination attempt.
2) Marcus and the forming of his Ring Miner crew.
3) Nathan Scott's Academy Days / Datyon's meetings with the EDF Brass / Eli's Jung Entanglement
4) Captain Roberts' story from the days of the BV-01 & BV-02.

(Bonus Points for the tale of the Jung early days, but not until we have a "present day" resolution as it would be very spoilery.)
