@Eric I think that it is the fast releases, the openness of Ryk in the Forums, and a good story with likable characters and grand themes... all of which come together to make a delay in releasing the next book more unbearable then having a hungry rat in a bucket put on your stomach and the bucket beaten so to wile up the rat so it claws and bites its way into your gut... or tickle torture. its also like tickle torture. (I heard of the rat bucket thing in a pirate related story, I've actually experienced the tickle torture but I think they are on par)

@Eric,

I think it is the realness of the characters. I have read a lot of series (some of which have kept me waiting much longer for the next book) and never felt this way. It's like the promise of seeing an old friend (or lover) only to find out the flight was cancelled or delayed. They feel like real people, I really know and I miss them.

Sorry, I don't mean to beat up anyone's rat!

Thirteen was missing 'something', so I added a thread and rewrote the last three chapters. It's back in proofreading now.

All I can say is it will be out in March.

Unless the internet collapses, then all bets are off.

I must clarify that I was speaking metaphorically, and no rats or people were hurt in the post above... probably a lot of people in the past but not in this instance... also tickle torture is real and happens every day, if you can please post a twitter or facebook message about the dangers or excessive laughing. We all need to be aware that smile lines don't go away, that they are a horrid reminder of such events. 😉

Hello to all! I just finished re-reading 10, 11 and 12 in anticipation of 13. Man Ryk, you sure write a great story! I agree with Goose, the draw is in the realistic characters. You've really brought them to life. Can't wait for 13. We all know it's gonna be a great read. But like the others, the wait for 14 is gonna kill us!

Yes, I believe I've heard of this. There's a group against it like Amnesty International. It's called SLINF...Stop Laughing It's Not Funny.

On the new cover artwork, is that Battle Platforms being killed by KKV's?

@gougef,

Not sure if it is here or on the Ticker thread, but that has been discussed extensively. Concensus is yes.

We're going to need an Alliance Patch. Something with a Molo leaf...
