With the production capacity of the Takarans, they should be cranking out jump conversion kits for shuttles and other small crafts, consisting of emitters, mini-drives, zpeds, and controllers. Send them back to Earth with Ghatazhak reinforcements to be fitted to existing small platforms there so they can save space on the transport. The only worry is with so many with these converted shuttles and recon ships around the PC and Earth- makes it easier for a pilot to sell out to God knows who - so they'll have to keep it tightly controlled within the Alliance military and self-destruct capable.

That's an easy problem, assign a Ghatazhak as crew chief on each modified shuttle with orders that no matter what the shuttle (ZPED and jump drive) is not to fall into the wrong hands.
As I mention early in this thread modify Jung shuttles and leave the Jung power plant on board, to Jung sensor operators it would appear to be one of theirs. Between the battleship and Tanna there's plenty of donor shuttles.
Star Geezer, good observations. I meant to go back and do that ship count myself. Also, I think there was a brief mention by the Falcon seeing that asset (whatever it is) that Gen Bacca left on the far side of Jupiter to observe the action.
Whatever that asset is, it saw the Celestia's teeth, so I don't think it will attack, but it will certainly bring intel to Jung ships that enter the system. Remember when the Aurora first showed up and the Jung sent up a small FTL ship to alert their bigger ships? That rally point is where this hidden asset will sit, where it will meet assets incoming from Alpha Centauri to update them on the current situation. Thus, the Jung will not be walking into a blind trap, they will have time to make a plan. Perhaps even Gen Bacca will sit at that rally point, to coordinate their forces... Which will be looking to exterminate the Earth, not just recover it.
And Glenn, that seems like a waste of a bunch of Ghatazhak. Let them do what they do best - blowing shit up!
Can you think of anyone else who will, 100% of the time, hit the self-destruct button if called upon, other than the Ghatazhak? Think of it as cheap insurance, if the Jung every get their hands on a ZPED / jump-drive shuttle everyone (Earth, Fringe, and PC) is in deep trouble.
Hopefully the "rally" point is in the battleship nav-logs, it's high time for the Aurora to ambush the Jung.
Hmm I thought Aurora accounted for all the Jung ships in system. Guess I'd better reread the book again. 4th time since I bought it 🙂
First off, I am a huge fan of the series. I have read these series of books for the last month after a co-worker got me hooked. What I really like, is that Ryk is a former medic, as my self so all the trauma that he describes in the books are extremely accurate.
I have so many ideas, dreams and what not for these characters and I for one will read these books for the next 12-15 years as they all come out.
EP11 I hope they can get at least the CV-02 fixed and everything. What I would like to see is the Corinari on board to get a rank. I know it seems trivial, but still I think that everybody on a warship besides scientist should have a rank so that way the can follow a command structure. So I would like to see a mass induction into the ranks of some sorts. I also think the Intrepid's crew will be divided up between the CV-01 and CV-02, and the battleship will be placed as kinda like the Flag-Ship with Admiral Gillardi's personal ship. After all, and admiral in the time of war shouldn't be behind a desk on the surface, rather on a flag ship.
I think that the earth will salvage tech from the jung battleship in the way of fabricators to help the industry. With the return of earth's sovereignty back to them, they will see the sense of urgency (kinda like the US did after Pearl Harbor) and stop the political red tap and get to work on defending what is rightfully there home world.
anyways that's all i feel like typing right now so cheers guys! look forward to reading and experiencing this epic story line with all of you. It's a story line that I feel with rival Star Trek and Star Wars with the vast possibilities that we have.
Wow, I had no idea that Cam was actually a hidden Princess of Earth, and was now Nathan's boss! That was a real surprise! Also that part where the Corainari rose up and revolted against Nathan's rule? And the way they executed Vlad right there in the hangar bay? Wow...
What, you guys didn't get the early release copy of Episode 11? Sorry Ryk, for spoiling it for everyone... 😉
@Eric: If you're going that far into the spoilers you should also have included what group of people crushed the Corainari rebellion. They had a rather well deserved Takaran reputation to to uphold for such things. 😉
@Nuc: Yeah, but venting the whole flight deck and hangars to space, killing the Corainari, Marcus, Josh and Loki, well, that was just like kicking a puppy. And I really didn't expect it when Princess Cam signed the peace treaty and merger with the Jung. And then the combined Declaration of War on the Pentaurus Cluster? Wow. I also hope that Ryk covers the devastation on Alpha Centauri more in the next book. That surprise attack was truly unforeseen!

I am happy that the bartender managed to get the airlock shut in time, even with that guy hanging on to her ankle. I really like her and the fact that she uses telepathic ability to offer sage advice.
Gary, that guy on her ankle wasn't a guy - that was the killer robot from the previous chapter! Remember him sharpening his blades on the skull of that other guy?
I'm just glad the galley had the fire that took down the antimatter engines. Otherwise they would have run into that scout from the aliens warship!
"someone from this story gets time-shifted back 1000 years" ... "And I think only one person fits the bill: Cam."
Are you thinking about a glitch at the initial testing of the Jump drive currently installed at the Celestia, which makes them once jump back and forward?
I remember I time when the idea behind the “jump” drive was for peaceful exportation…
Yea, some pure space exploration, with sup sections where it is all about humanitarian aid would be nice indeed. Unfortunately I don't see it for this season and personally will not get my hopes high for that before begin of season 2.
What I would like to see is Nathan use KKVs on everything in AC. Planets, battle platform, battle ships, moons, asteroids, etc. Destroy any other ships that aren't smart enough to go to FTL to get away. Leave a message that activates when the General comes out of FTL, "I warned you that you had no idea what I was capable of. Your move General."
You guys ever hear of this? Maybe fake, but interesting...
