So being that they are finally in an organization that may not be destroyed next episode here are my ideas of some of the what medals that should be available.

Purple Heart- wounded as a result of enemy action
PC campaign ribbon
Earth liberation campaign ribbon

Darvano liberation medal
Tanna liberation medal
Earth liberation medal
That other planet liberation medal.
Takaran liberation medal

Any other? Mind my poor spelling

I think it's about time they get awards for duty above and beyond the call of duty. Keeps moral high. Good idea. Danny

Seems like Corinair needs a medal.

I don't remember if this was mentioned at all in episode twelve (I will probably go back and check after typing this), but does everyone in the alliance have an identifier on their uniform indicating where they are from? For example, men and women from Corinair would have a shoulder patch or something equivalent somewhere on their uniform showing they were from Corinair, and likewise for people from other planets. If not, I think it would be pretty cool as planets are liberated from Jung rule, new patches would be made for new recruits from said liberated planets.

While it would be cool for you to walk through a space ship seeing people from all over the alliance working together, it probably wouldn't be a good idea to implement it. While there hasn't really been anyone on the Aurora so far that acts this way, but there will always be someone who thinks that people from a certain planet are inferior to them, and by placing the patch of origin on the uniform, you are enabling them to single out their supporters and their prey.

Also, if your place of origin in your eyes, is only the place you were at before you left to joined the alliance, would you really want the reminder of where you came from on a daily basis?

Alliance plank owner. This is a tradition in the US Military and especially Special Operations teams - when a new team or battalion is called up the founding members are plank owners.

Lol Jason Akin...Ask and Army Infantryman if his CIB (combat infantry badge) is like the boy scouts and see the reaction.

Lets also add to the list
Pathfinders
SEAL Trident
Planetary HALO Jump (With Stars for each jump)
Gunners Badge (marksman Badge with notations for each weapon system qualified to shoot)

Revised from earlier:
Jumper flight badge can be like the Army Air Assault or like the helicopter flight wings

Funny the difference in services. As a Marine, I attended many Army schools. Pathfinder, Air Assault (x2), several others. I never even looked up the rules to see if I could pin another badge on. It just seemed like stuff everyone should know. We threw a grenade at Boot Camp, but the Army awards a badge for it. Just different sensibilities.

I am biased, of course, but I would keep it to just a few badges for only the biggest deals. Battle of Takara, maybe the liberation of a whole system.

@ericnay,

The Battle of Takara award you suggest, sounds more like a Campaign ribbon than an award. I agree it, and others like it, should be in the catalog. However, I do not agree with your assertion that the others are just "stuff everyone should know". If that were the case, everyone would go through the training and it would be called Basic Training. As far as the grenade badge, no one actually wears that after Basic. Those things are like gold stars for children to keep them motivated. On the other hand, things like my Expert Field Medical Badge, are worn, and worn proudly as they are very difficult to achieve.

As you say, different senibilities.

Congrats on earning your EFMB. Difficult road to get there and harder to achieve. Where did you do your testing at?
