Any known ETA for the last book in this series?  Wondering how it will end.  Will the Alliance resurge and run the Aurora to another galaxy?  Will the new Human Empire win?  Will the Klaria Virus return?   Or, will there be a complete plot twist?

Well, we might be just a week or two early for getting the next installment.  Ryk has been reported suffering from carpal tunnel syndrome.  Maybe he has learned to enter his last book of this series with his voice!  Speaking of Ryk, he is usually pretty good with the old PLOT TWIST thing.  So, with just one episode left in this series, I'm sure the plot might change, and we'll be left with a "Cliff Hanger" until we move onto Part 4.

I understand, if he is having carpal tunnel issues.  I just want this section done.  Something about it, maybe repetitive, at least to me, topics are wearing my interest thin.  I need something new or a break.  The problem is the other authors I have been reading have taken breaks on some of their series, and I lose complete interest. And, others, for no reason, start overtly injecting personal politics, and I lose interest.  I just need the escape and interest in space opera.

@vogel - I can understand some people losing interest in the series with what you mentioned as repetitive subjects always coming up; and I have to say that I am a bit like you and want to see the last book in this series wrap some things up.  I can say that I have a whole lot of patience and am willing to wait - even if it takes another month or so.  Ryk did promise at least 3 "books" per year and sometimes 4.  Episode 3.15 will be the 3rd book this year.

I also took up a new hobby after I retired years back - I bought a couple of 3D printers to keep me busy.

@exercate I am working on some side projects to pay off the house early so I can retire.  Then I might have more patience.  I guess it is just my personal frustration that ot seems a lot of the authors that I have been reading for years are taking breaks and not finishing series.  I love to read, and whereas Amazon helped 15 years ago, now it seems to have lowered the quality of writing in favor of profit.  I am not against profit, all for it, but a Chevette is not the same as a Corvette, and is not worth the same, if the analogy makes sense, and stringing out some things just for profit is lazy writing.  I also do not like to see a great series ended in a manor that  a 5 year old would enjoy   I am not saying Ryk does that, some authors do, but the Amazon model incentivises that.  I guess I just need to reread my favorite books again and be patient, but some of them, I can almost rewrite I have read them so much.  I am very picky in what I read, even though I have 600 or so bookd on my tablet, and my wife made me give away about 1500 when we moved.  So, right now, I am in the void as far as I am concerned.

I, too, have been wondering if Ryk was ready to release 3.15...

His carpal tunnel issues have slowed down his writing somewhat but I would think that he should be getting close to completing it within the the next month, and he usually gives us a coming soon note.

I guess I just wanted to confirm that he is still working on it.

Well, here we are towards the end of September and no word of any book coming out. I dont mind the wait but other authors keep us abreast of when something is coming out. It seems with this series, we find out after it has shown up on Amazon

I've been trying to get some kind of update. There has been nothing on Facebook either. I'm pretty sure this delay is due to the book he co-wrote with Glenn Haddix for a spinoff series. It was horrible by the way. If you haven't read it I would save your 4 bucks.

Let's hope it is soon.  Ryk has got to be a little burnt out kn this whole series.  He is at almost 50 books if you count the Fall of the Core ones.  I bet he takes a break after this one.  I hope it is a good one, and not a quick finish-it-up like some other authors have done.   Plus, I do not want a reason to stop reading them.

Well month is almost over and still no word. I have been an avid reader of Roy’s since the beginning. I think I will take a break from his books after the last one of section 3 comes out. With the lack of communication and the long delay on this last book, I just don’t have the patience anymore. Ryk said back in June that the framework was already done for 15 as there was a lot to happen and he had too plan it out. With the disaster of Deeper, this just got pushed down the line.

good series but I grow tired of checking every day on Amazon to see if there is anything.

Folks, Ryk has been producing original and nail-biting content for 13-14 years on this platform.   I can't even imagine writing almost 50 books (without a ghostwriter) and keeping it fresh.  Ryk has done just that!   I eagerly await every installment of this series, but also am happy for them to be released when Ryk is ready.   Admittedly, I haven't read Deeper, so I need to see what that was all about.

But the mainline series is incredible, and Ryk deserves an award for how much he's done.  I'm still hoping one of the streaming platform picks the series up for a streaming live action series someday.

How cool would that be to see each "part" be a season or two!    Now, if Ryk would just answer my question about whether the AI in fall of the core is the big bad behind the alliance.....

@nycaurorafan I totally agree, 45 books plus his two other books, Fall of the Core and Arrival, is a pretty impressive output.

And, like Ryk, some of my favorite authors and series, The Ender Series with Orson Scott Card, also haven't completed series or took extended breaks between books in the series but, since I can't write like that and there are so, so, so many other good SF writers, stories, and series that I still have to read, or reread, I just figure, "What the heck, I'll do something else until they get around to doing their next book."

So, I'd love to see another book by Ryk in this series but I've got a life, lots of other things I can do while I'm waiting, so... I think I'll just get on with the business of living.

For everyone who doesn’t use Facebook. Ryk has posted that it’ll probably be November before he can release. He stated this book will be almost double the size of other books in this part and it’s already 80,000 words in with four chapters to go. For me I’m just happy he’s taking his time and can’t wait to read it when it comes out.
