Looks like a good start for the website. It's a little annoying that i have to slide the screen left and right to read a entire paragraph. I'm working off a Kindle hd right now. Maybe the webmaster can address this.
Ryk, i'm jonesing for next one. I'm ready when you are.
Same and seconded. Also so glad you have a website was sick of looking on fb for updates and also can't wait for the next installment. This is my favorite series, keep up the good work!
I kind of liked the Amazon discussion boards. It was much easier to find and jump to the newest posts. Oh well.
It does need better navigation. I think adding some links on the bottom as well as top would help. Heck, adding some decent "next topic" on the lowest level (posts) would help.
Anyone get the 3D Aurora to work? My silly browser doesn't recognize the FLV extension, which is allegedly Flash which I already have. Anyone recommend a good/usable extension/plug-in for firefox?
I still don't know why the site is slow. It isn't like it is really busy. I hope it isn't being run on a NAS in someone's living room. Probably not, but for the price Ryk says he's paying, it should be a lot faster. I checked into having a site hosted a few years ago and Costo had a decent deal of $20/mo and it could handle a lot of traffic.
Just wanted to let you know that we are looking into these mobile device displaying the website issues and hope to have them resolved soon. In addition we will be making some improvements to the forum navigation.
And we have changed hosting providers in order to resolve the slow sluggish site issues.
To the 3D Aurora, we could put up a download link to allow you to download the Aurora 3D Rotation animation video to your computer and play it locally if you like. Meanwhile we'll explore other options for that player.

Thank you. My Internet Explorer plug-in worked for the 3D, so it may be browser/plugin specific. I would hope the tool would include what programs can read the file. I did right-click download the file, which is where I then had to find a program to run it.
First, for some reason, hyperlinks sometimes aren't showing as such as they are always white, and yet the posts font color alternates between blue and white and so they are camouflaged. The 'open in new window' checkbox seems to only underline the link but in firefox opens the link in the same window.
Also, while trying out the Private Message function, the message was illegible with yellow-on-white. I used the mouse to select the message so I could read it.
Is this site hosted in London? Post times seem to be in GMT. Ryk lives here in California, so Ryk Standard Time (RST -8) should apply! π
OK, here's another one. If you quote a post that quotes another post, you don't get what you expect:
Iβm with Eric on this one. Being a former Marine as well Semper Fi!
