I believe Mr. Brown has stated elsewhere in the forums that he has hired someone to create a wiki-type reference guide for a future version of this site. I would assume the information you mentioned would be included in that guide.
Personally I wouldn't mind seeing a ship-size reference chart. The concept art page has something for the smaller ships to help us gauge their size in comparison to one another, but we could use something similar for the larger ships.
