@rykbrown How long before the Bio-Digital Plague were the Core worlds settled? A hundred years? Two hundred? I'm assuming they had had ample time to have sizeable populations before the BDP reached them, but they were continuing to encourage immigration of new colonists like Hannah Bohl's original cameraman in the Netcasts.

In my timeline, the first extra-solar colony was established in the early 22nd century. By then end of that century, five more had been established. By the end of the 23rd century, those 6 colonies each had populations exceeding a million. By the end of the 25th century, each of the core worlds had population over 1 billion, and a dozen new colonies had been established and had populations nearing the million mark.

The bio-digital plague struck at the beginning of the 26th century, so from first extra-solar colony to the plague was about 470 years.
