Best tactic for using all of the Alliance resources in my opinion is to:
1. Scout ships do full recon flights.
2. Scout ships deploy KKV's and hit the Battle Platform from multiple angles.
3. Aurora, Celestia, & Karuzara jump into orbit and Quad Jung orbital and ground defenses.
4. Karuzara deploys Jump shuttles drop Ghatazhak at key areas.
5. Falcons bomb aerospace forces bases, and control the sky's.
6. Scout ships & Falcons hit the smaller Jung ships (gunships and frigates) individually following the same speed of light concept as at Takara and Alpha Centari. Jump, fire, jump.
7. Aurora & Celestia wipe out larger targets like cruisers
8. Aurora & Celestia double team the battleship.
9. Knocked out (ie not destroyed) Jung fleet targets are flooded with Ghatazhak to capture the ships for forwarding to Karuzara for refit.
Its a rough plan but based on what we have seen of the Jung so far this should form the general ground work of Alliance operations.
The "follow the leader" roles we have seen by Scott and Cameron need to be updated a bit. Use of Falcons and mini jump drones to supply up to date info to the Karuzara command centre should be able to keep all theatres covered.
Not bad, Aidan.
The updated scout ships fascinate me. They remind me of the Calvary of old, although perhaps the Falcons fill that bill.
I wonder what kind of resistance they might encounter. At least some of the planets are bound to be loyal to the existing regime...
Its a very strong possibility that some worlds will prefer to stay loyal to the Jung, either because they are afraid of the retaliation by the Jung, or because they remember what the Jung did to them when they were first conquered and do not want the alliance to do that to them. Also it should be noted that the Alliance would be attacking All Jung Key locations, and some of those locations will be gaurded by Local militias. so the Alliance attacking Local forces will raise strong opposition after the Jung are defeated.
Just because we know the Jung are bad, does not mean they know the Jung are bad. Germans in WW2 Thought that they had every right to fight for there country. Most didn't know, what the concentration camps were like (they were lied to, made believe they were more like summer camps)
Propaganda. That is the key. The Alliance doesn't want to appear as terrorists, but they don't want to lose the element of surprise, either. It seems kind of like that they need to announce their cause to the civilian populations, in order to not appear as the bad guy. They could announce, then come back in a week to wipe out the BPs and such. That should still give them some surprise.
