Don't know if Ryk will appreciate it, but if I were the author, I would like to see a thread that points out problems and inconsistencies in my work, so I could either edit them, or explain them in later episodes.

Here is an inconsistancy:

Several places in episode 1 it says Nathan was #32 out of a class of 500... Which does make sense for him to still make the cut for the Aurora... but when he meets Captain Roberts, Nathan thinks he finished 85th in his class... which probably does not make sense given the criteria for the Aurora and which is inconsistent with the several other references to his class rank at the academy.

Here is another, when the Ta'Akar warship Yamaro arrives in the Corinari system, Nathan and Captain de Winter have a interactive conversation, even though interactive communication is limited to light speed in this series and the two ships must be at least light hours apart.

i am ok with the yamaro one, it helped move the story along and added some tension to the situation.

I don't mind a lot of these, as I don't expect an author to get all details kept straight. Even if the author keeps notes, it can soon become unwieldy--certain series have become what looks an awful lot like background material sandwiched in with the actual plot and action.

I see nothing wrong with pointing them out, but I'm wondering if they should be in a section where the editor, rather than the author, should get a first look at them, so it doesn't come out harsh. I'd hate to aggravate the author and have him go back fixing computers...
