Ryk, Are The Books available for direct buy, or are they amazon exclusive

I was listening to a Dead Robots society podcast about amazon, and audible, and how much they are continuing to find ways to screw you guys, (authors and creators )

I saw in your Ryks Log from a while back, that you were considering pulling your books from amazon exclusive and going to a wide spread, with other sales points or direct buy.

Did this ever happen? i have a few friends that i got into your series, that tend to wait for the audiobooks, but if there is a way to support you more directly and give you more of the cash, we would like to take that option than feed the amazon leech.

Hey Ryk, long time fan of your series, been reading it book 2 came out.

I was just wondering if you are open to doing a podcast, i really enjoy the Blasters and Blades podcast

and was thinking about suggesting to them to reach out to you, they do alot of established authors as well as less well known and established authors, and I personally would love to hear more about writing and the plans of on of my favorite authors.

Can anyone tell me why Amazon tries to bilk Ryk out of proceeds from his books by always listing them on Kindle Unlimited when they first come out? I refuse to read them on Kindle Unlimited purchasing each one $2.99 is such a small price for the enjoyment these books bring. I would hope that everyone on this forum does the same.

Thanks Ryk for many hours of enjoyment for me and my kids.

Tension between Scott and Nash in part three

I just read all 35 books since the beginning of December. I could not put it down!!! I really love the Nathan/Jessica relationship. It was especially enjoyable in the second part. At the end of 2.15, Jessica says that she is going to stick with Nathan, but in 3.1 they have obviously been apart at least two years. Why? Also, he refers to resenting having her with him for protection all the time in one of the books and in another he says she is like Chiqua, heavily implying that Jessica is selfish, but isn't open about it like Chiqua. What is causing all of this tension?

So what do you all think is up and anybody else like me wish that the tension would abate and there were more tender together moments for them?

Hi All, the below is from Facebook 1 day ago:

I wasn't sure if I was going to share this, but I value every one of you, and don't want you to wonder. My intention had been to be releasing a new episode every other month, but on Dec 4, at 0230 (exactly 19 yrs to the hour since my father passed suddenly) I had a heart attack. I was lucky, and suffered almost no cardiac damage. (Thanks to a really good EMS system.) I was back home a few days later, but now I will have to have triple-bypass surgery on Jan 16. I was hoping to get episode 3.6 finished before then, but there is so much to do to prepare, and I still have to take it easy due to three severe blockages, so, it doesn't look like there will be a new episode until either February or March.

I'm sure I'll breeze through this, and come out stronger and better, but I just wanted you all to know why it's taking a little longer to get the next episode out than the last two.

I'll update you all after I get home from the hospital, probably sometime around the end of January.

Thank you all for reading. I still have a lot of stories to tell.
