How big is the Glendannon supposed to be? Any official/unofficial art?

I'm working my way through the series a second time and I'm always struggling to appreciate just how big this ship is and what it looks like - a ship so large it requires hundreds of wealthy investors and is supposed to be the largest in the cluster?

First time poster. Love all the books, currently on Chapter 3 Episode 5!

Does anyone know if it would alright for me to make 3D models of the ships and other items from the books? I was looking around on Thingiverse and Printables and I couldn't find anything. I was wondering if there was reason for this? I would love to put the work in and make some models off the concept arts. I also looked on Etsy and there was nothing there either. I think it would be awesome to have a little model of the Aurora or the Falcon on my desk at work. And would it be okay if I sold the printed models? Lots of questions I know. Sorry. I just think this would be an awesome project.

Just wanted to let you all know the art team have done some ship designs, and 3D modeling. We are configuring a new page/pages to display these and are hoping to start linking them into the site in a few weeks. The current plan is to add a ship model each week and to let people vote on which model we post the next week.

Are there concept art images for Sugali fighters (Nighthawks), Orochi, Dusahn Octo fighters, Gunyoki, Cobras, Eagles, the new Falcon... ?? It would be nice to see them all! Even the now gone Seikii!

Karuzari Ships from the first 2 books

Are we ever going to know what kinds of ships the Karuzari had in the first 2 books? With Connor having lived for five years in and around the PC he now as Nathan would likely recognise those ship models. It would be cool to come across one and have him recognise it from the scope (because he didn't actually look at the ship/s when they were in the hangerbay. Also another point it's noted that the Taksran forces used Capital, Heavy Cruiser, Frigate sized ships and fighters. Would that be because the Karuzari kept destroying / stealing their gunships? I am going to have to get some serious thinking done on how the Takarans had the fleet they had during my first part re read

Jump Drive Colony Ship

In one of the recent books, Mr Brown wrote a passage where Nathan theorized that humans could possibly one day build a colony ship that married the jump drive with the old style suspended animation technology that was used on ships like the EDF FTL scout ships in order to reach other galaxies like Andromeda. Anyone want to speculate on what kind of ship that would be? I suspect it would be larger than a battleship, but smaller than a battle platform maybe? Probably ZPED-powered with multiple jump systems?

So, I'm just getting into this, but a game called Empyrion on Steam is centered around designing and building your own ships. Lots of the standard staples have been made & are in the Steam Workshop (link: http://steamcommunity.com/app/383120/workshop/). Did a quick search for Aurora and didn't seem to find our girl. Gonna take a stab at it myself but I'm not great at these types of games when it comes to design & implementation. If anyone else is... hope to see your work in the shop! If not... well, who knows WHEN I'll be able to get an Aurora out there, but I'll post here when I do!

Fan Art: I Made The Eagle!

Hello everyone! I'm a huge fan of this series and have been with it since 2014. Additionally I am a 3D artist and love doing stuff in this exact kind of genre. Well, about 12 months ago I was looking at the concept art and began to get really attached to the Eagle concept design... so I decided to try my hand at it. Until recently I worked a full time job (now, going back to college) and It has been an on and off again project ever since. Lately I have had more free time and began to sink much needed hours into the project and finally finished it! (Mostly). There is a ton of information about this craft that I am unsure about (e.g. Weapons placement? Strange extrusions on top of the Eagle? More Data, etc...) I am hoping I can get some feedback from the community... or @rykbrown himself ;) Nonetheless, The model itself has an immense amount of detail that I just could not fit into one image. I may make an album full of renders depending on feedback. Another thing I like to do is animate stuff I make, therefore literally everything I design in 3D is made with the possibility of animations in its future. That means Engine, Canopy, Landing Gear, Wings, You name it. It's all rigged and ready to go. A long term plan of mine is to make one of my favourite scenes from the book. EDF Eagles Propulsion

What kind of engine does the Eagle use? Is it a hybrid air-breathing engine akin to the SABRE engine? Or is it all rocket propulsion? Logically I imagine it is a hybrid that switches between atmospheric and vacuum. It'd be more efficient when in atmosphere and and burn less propellant.
