I always picture the Falcon as a twin seat BSG Viper all be it with a nasty chin turret.
Me too, but only in terms of cockpit and chin turret. In overall form more like the BWB (Blended Wing Body) from the Boeing/Nasa corporation and hence it flies pretty fast in the books sometimes it might want to take on board some Black Bird Aero dynamics.
A BSG-Viper/BWB/Black-Bird mixup.
I still think it is flying wing type of craft... with a gimbeled thrust vectoring it would need to be... in my opinion anyway...
Speaking of the Falcon and it's design... The man himself just authorized us to release a few conceptual drawings. (One of which is the Falcon!) These will be officially added to the site in a few days, but just to tease you for now...

Cool. About what I figured. Especially after the recent repairs where they added another weapons pod, I figured it couldn't be very long and slender, but instead had to be more stubby.

I'm much the same. I said before that I had a BSG Viper in my head. Still its good to see Ryks vision for the Falcon.

I had more of the Goa'uld death glider or the X-301/F-302 fighter in my mind for the Falcon. Sure, I miss the BSG Vipers, and the ordinary fighters from Takara seem more like that in my mind.

I definitely had pictured the Falcon with a longer nose and shorter wings (like most I thought of the BSG Viper) but with Book 10 and the scenes where several missiles drop from her wings this actual designs makes FAR more sense. She is much more reminiscent of the VTOL design you see in so many video games (which makes sense consider she can actually take off vertically)
Very much looking forward to all the new artwork and charts! It's my second favorite thing (first favorite being a new book).
