In the descriptions of the characters I can make out European, Asian and Hispanic but no discernible characters of African decent. Are there any Black characters?
Sargent Wetherby (not sure of spelling) - the Guy who used to guard Nathan's Back who died on mission with Jess and the Volon Communications officer (who's name escapes me)/ Nathan went to his home to tell his family that he had died in Book 15. I think he was meant to be Black/America.
Ryk talked about this previously, about how he prefer's to not state what people look like and leave people make up they're own minds. He does give us a few features and often a nationality. I think this is the good approach, because, we might see Characters in a different light based on our own experiences
